Highsmith Guns offers training classes. Whether you are looking to get familiar with your first gun, or looking for advanced dynamic training, Highsmith Guns is the place to go. Our employees and owners carry certifications from many reputable training facilities. No matter your level of skill or familiarity with firearms, there is a class for you. You can never have too much training. We offer multiple levels.
Basic Firearms Training: This class teaches basic firearms handling. We will work on proper grip, sight alignment, and sight picture. Trigger control and proper shooting stance. Cleaning tips. Get familiar with your new gun.
Women's Only Training: Many women prefer to be learning only around other women. We offer our basic women's only classes often.
Intermediate Firearms Training: Multiple types offered. Reviews basic pistol techniques. Drawing from a holster. Speed reloads and reloads with retention. Basic malfunction clearing drills and tactical shooting. Target acquisition. Moving and shooting. Partner work.
Advanced Firearms Training: Multiple types. Reviews intermediate tactical pistol skills and introduces more advanced drills. Extended malfuncton clearing. Single handed shooting. Use of cover. Tactical reloads. Movement and decision-making. Flashlight Techniques. Moving and shooting at multiple targets. Strong and support hand shooting.
We understand that schedules may not match up to our class schedules. We understand that you may not feel comfortable in group sessions. We offer private individual or group training. Whether looking to train your church security group or just take your first shots with a firearm, our certified instructors can meet your needs.
